Our Story
Inspired by the Latin meaning of peaceful and calm, Pacatus was founded in 2019 by Iliana Villatoro, Pacatus is a brand that transcends seasons and trends, embracing a timeless and classic style. From the beginning, Pacatus’ focus was to create long-lasting and comfortable loungewear that could be worn in bed or outside the house – and in the process the brand decided to incorporate Ready-To-Wear into its collections. Pacatus was built with the need to create a fashion brand which production showed the social, ethical and environmental consciousness, and which clothing went beyond aesthetics, all to create a positive impact on the industry and our clients.
Designer Bio
Iliana was born in El Salvador, and ever since she was a child, she had an avid curiosity and fascination for fashion, a dream she started to accomplish when she enrolled in the prestigious art school of Savannah College of Art and Design. After receiving her BFA she moved to New York City where she worked with the likes of Jill Stuart and 3.1 Phillip Lim.
Throughout her working experience, she started to study and learn more about the consequences that the fashion industry creates; both labor and environmental. That’s when Iliana decided to make a change in her lifestyle and had the purpose of creating a Ready-To-Wear and Loungewear brand that aims to celebrate life, all while building a more conscious brand.
