Materials

At Pacatus we are committed to follow a conscious and considered approach; we strive to work with materials that are aligned with our values and lifestyle.

Linen

Linen is one of the most sought out fabrics. It is favored for having a lustrous feel, breathability, long-lasting, and best of all – it can be worn all year round.

Cotton

Cotton is one of the most gentle to the touch fabrics. It is one, if not, the most favorable textile due to its breathability, natural softness, and comfort.

European Flax

European Flax certified linen is only grown on the coastal area of Western Europe, from South Normandy through Belgium and the Netherlands.

This certification ensures that the flax plant has been grown without the use of pesticides, using rainwater and doesn’t require additional irrigation. The process has a regenerative effect on the land, keeping the soil’s fertility. The extraction of the linen fiber is also known for having zero chemical process and for being zero waste.

European Flax certification ensures that the best practices are given for all workers involved – from seed to final product.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Dye

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification guarantees that every textile, dye and accessories are free of more than 100 substances that are known to be harmful to human health.

As for now, we count with textiles that have been dyed in factories certified by Oeko-Tex in South Korea.

“We are working in using materials that are made with ethical practices – we have a long way to go, but each step counts to create something better for us and the environment.”  – Iliana (Founder & Designer)
